80's Matchbox B Line Disaster

If you do one more thing before you die... Go see The Eighties Matchbox B Line Disaster.

So imagine my excitement when my boyfriend tells me he has tickets to a secret gig one of my favourite bands of all time are playing. 150 capacity venue. OH MY LORD.

Yes I was literally wetting myself with excitement...

So dressed in my lovliest of lovely Lascivious Milla Bra and sheer top, I strutted there, tottering in my 6 inch heels.

The Eighties Matchbox B Line Disaster have been one of my favourite bands since I was 16. Originally formed in 1999, in Brighton the band have been through a couple of line up changes and two kick ass albums. The third now under their belts and due for release in May 2010. Guy McKnight, proving decent front men do still exist was on top form. I couldn't help but notice our matching grey and black hair. Obviously we're meant to be? No?

After a questionable support band (sorry Fangs) 80's played an incredible comeback gig. They played the majority of new album 'Blood And Fire.' This being their first release in nearly 5 years, has been much anticipated, and did not fail to impress.

Frontman Guy McKnight (he's still got it!) spent the first half of the gig climbing the bars, and head storming through the crowd. At one point he was so close I didn't know if i was going to get a kiss or a head butt... I got neither. Disappointed on both accounts. And of course there was crowd surfing galore- obviously i did NOT partake in this.

As well as songs from the new album the band played older favourites at the sold-out gig including 'Mister Mental' (a personal fave), 'Psychosis Safari' and Chicken

The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster played:

'Monsieur Cutts'
'Mister Mental'
'Love Turns To Hate'
'I Hate The Blues'
'Homemade'
'I Rejection'
'Chicken'
'Mission From God'
'So Long, Goodnight'
'Never Be The Same'
'Man For All Seasons'
'Psychosis Safari'
'Under My Chin'
'Riptin'
'In The Garden'
'Celebrate Your Mother'
'Freud's Black Muck'
'Fishfingers'

So three things to do now blogreaders:
